Titans Make Kevin Byard NFL's Highest-Paid Safety

The Tennessee Titans and Kevin Byard have agreed to terms on a five-year, $70.5 million deal, according to sources.

The contract includes $31 million in guaranteed money and makes Byard the NFL's highest-paid safety.

He is entering his fourth season after being drafted in the third round by the Titans in 2016.

49ers, Robbie Gould Agree Upon Long-Term Extension

The San Francisco 49ers and Robbie Gould have agreed to a two-year, $10.5 million fully-guaranteed deal that, including an option clause, can turn into a four-year, $19 million deal that includes $15 million guaranteed, according to league sources.

The two sides were facing a 4 p.m. ET Monday deadline.

The 49ers have an option in which they can pick up the remaining two years on Gould's contract by the 17th week of the 2020 season, per the source.
